Who is Gillian Pieper?

Gillian Pieper has been a trainer, presenter and passionate advocate in the field of Wellness and Workplace Health Promotion since 1992. She has a B.S. in Kinesiology (exercise science) from the University of Michigan (1989 – Go Blue!) and a M.Ed. in developmental studies and counseling in adult health education from Boston University (1994). Since 1996, Gillian has been on the Health Promotion team, for the Vermont School Boards Insurance Trust’s program known as PATH (Planned Action Toward Health) helping school employers design and implement best practice employee wellness programs.  Her team once described her as “the girl you ask about anything and everything related to wellness, health (inside and out) and general PATH questions”…her brain is impressively full with answers and lots of helpful ideas!  Oh, and what she doesn’t know, she’ll find.

In her 20 years of program delivery and direct service, Gillian has been a health coach and virtual trainer to thousands of employees.  It is safe to say she’s probably heard and seen it all!  She is trained as an Intrinsic Coach and employs this best practice methodology in all aspects of PATH program development.  Gillian is also a certified Wellness Culture Coach and has spent many years consulting with Dr. Judd Allen, studied under Dr Dee Edington and achieved advanced certification from Larry Chapman with the National Wellness Institute, and has a solid background in Global Learning Partner’s Dialogue Education.

Gillian is an avid hiker, Crossfitter, who dabbles in kayaking, cross country skiing and anything outdoorsy. She loves her dogs, her wife, her friends and her crazy busy blended family. She also enjoys taking time to savor the yummy things in life like great food, craft beer and a bite (or two!) of chocolate!PATHStratton0207
